Price Tracking Methodology
How StyleScout collects and compares product prices
In short: StyleScout compares sneaker prices collected from retailer listings. Our prices are updated manually, not through live retailer APIs or automated real-time monitoring. The prices displayed on our website may therefore differ from the current prices on retailer websites.
1. How StyleScout Works
StyleScout is a sneaker discovery and price comparison website designed to help visitors compare product listings from online retailers in one place.
We collect available product and pricing information from retailer listings and organize it so visitors can compare options more conveniently.
Our purpose is to make product discovery and price comparison easier. StyleScout does not sell the products displayed on the website.
2. How We Collect Prices
We refer to publicly available product listings from online retailers, including:
- Amazon India
- Flipkart
- Myntra
Price information is collected and entered or updated manually. StyleScout does not currently connect to retailer APIs for live price monitoring, and we do not automatically check retailer prices in real time.
This means there may be a delay between a price changing on a retailer's website and the corresponding information being updated on StyleScout. Some listings may not have been reviewed recently.
3. How We Compare Prices
When the same product is available from more than one retailer, we display the available prices together to make comparison easier.
Comparisons are based on the information currently recorded on StyleScout. They may not include every seller, listing, size, colour, promotion or offer available on a retailer's website.
Prices displayed for the same product may also differ because of seller differences, product variants, delivery charges, location-based pricing or retailer promotions.
4. What Does the "BEST" Label Mean?
Where we use a "BEST" label, it identifies the lowest price among the retailer prices currently displayed for that product on StyleScout.
It does not mean that the price is guaranteed to be the lowest price available across the internet or even across every listing on that retailer's website.
Because our information is manually updated, a retailer's actual price may have changed since the displayed comparison was prepared.
5. Price History
Some product pages may include historical price information where records are available.
These records represent prices collected and stored by StyleScout. They should not be treated as a complete record of every price change, sale, discount or promotion offered by a retailer.
Historical information may have gaps and may not reflect every change that occurred on a retailer's website.
6. Price Accuracy and Updates
We make efforts to keep the information on StyleScout useful, but manually maintained prices can become outdated. We cannot guarantee that every displayed price, discount or availability detail is accurate at the time you visit.
Keep the following points in mind:
- Retailer prices can change without notice.
- Offers and discounts may expire or change.
- Prices may vary by size, colour, seller or location.
- Delivery charges, taxes and other fees may apply.
- A product may become unavailable after it is listed on StyleScout.
- Our displayed information may not reflect the latest retailer changes.
Always check the retailer's product page and checkout price before completing a purchase.
7. Product Details and Images
Product names, descriptions, specifications, images and other listing details may be obtained from retailer pages or other available product information sources.
We do not independently verify every product detail. Information may contain errors or may differ from the product ultimately supplied by the retailer.
Please refer to the retailer's listing for the latest product specifications, size information, images and availability before purchasing.
8. Affiliate Links
Some retailer links on StyleScout are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission.
Affiliate links help support the operation of StyleScout. They do not mean that the displayed price is guaranteed or that a retailer has verified our comparison.
For more information, please read our Affiliate Disclosure.
9. Reporting Incorrect Information
If you notice a price or product detail that appears incorrect, you can contact us with the product name, the retailer and the relevant page link.
We can review the information and make corrections where appropriate. As prices are manually maintained, we do not guarantee immediate updates.

10. Changes to This Methodology
We may update this page if the way we collect, compare or display product information changes.
Any revised version will be published on this page.
